Feeding net

Hartog stimulates the use of a feeding net during the delivery of Compact Lucerne to poultry. You can save a lot of money on your Lucerne purchase by using a feeding net. Some feeding nets even delay the intake by 50%, making the Compact Luzerne last twice as long!

Delayed feeding intake
Our feeder has small meshes which slow down the intake of the roughage by hens. Delaying the feed intake is fine, assuming that the bale eventually ends. When a bale lasts too long.there is a chance that the hens will get too little fiber rich rye feed. The fibers will therefore have less effect on active intestinal activity.
